William J. Serritella , NMLS # 2038570, joined HLP Mortgage, NMLS# 1171064, on August 16,2021 as a Senior Mortgage Consultant.

William (Bill) Serritella earned his Bachelor‘s Degree , Majoring in History and Political, Science from George Williams College and Masters Degree in Accounting from Dominican University.

Mr. Serritella is a Veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the end of the Viet Nam Era. Bill was the Supervisor of the Payroll Auditing Department in Okinawa, Japan. Bill ensured that all the Soldiers received proper compensation and entitlement pay for their service to the United States of America. Serritella ensured that the Soldiers received the proper recognition for the troop’s additional sacrifices and service.

After serving in the Army Finance Corps, Mr. Serritella directed the financial and business activities for all employers. As The Assistant Executive Director for the Oak Park Housing Authority and Oak Park Residence Corporation, he Directed and was responsible for all financial activities. In addition, Mr. Serritella facilitated the Project 202 Loan and Rehabilitation Project for several large Apartment Complexes. Loan’s range for Hud Project Programs from Six Million to Fifteen Million Dollars depending of the Maturity for each Housing Group. The leverage of financial funds expanded the Mission of the HUD Projects to provide additional financial resources to serve the low and moderate income communities while integrating those families with market rate families. The integration of Community Block Grant and Loan products combined with Village Rehabilitation Funds increased and maximized the availability number of housing units while simultaneously leveraging those resources that increased quality, safe and affordable units for all qualified citizens and their families.

Mr. Serritella Directed the Financial Activities of The Illinois Conference of the United Church of Christ and Catholic Charities of Northwest Indiana. While employed at Catholic Charities, Bill was asked to serve as A Housing Committee Member for National Catholic Charities . As the Vice President of The Housing Committee , Bill facilitated four meetings at the National Level which focused on various Loan Products that promoted affordable Apartment Housing Units, condominiums, duplexes, and Single Family Homes. The Housing activities increased housing units. Bill also facilitated sessions to enhance educational programs for inner city students. Mr. Serritella also accepted the invitation to serve as a member of the Ezra Housing Group. The Ezra Group offered single family housing units to low to moderate income families.

During his tenure at Catholic Charites, Bill organized several Christian Denominations to assist every family in Northwest Indiana when need was required.

Bill also served as the Treasurer and Board Member for a world wide Historical Association. As a Board Member, Bill organized Four National Meetings in Gettysburg Pennsylvania for years 2001, 2009, 2012, and 2018.

Mr. Serritella goal is to translate assistance for families to matching proper mortgage loan programs for both the Veteran and United States Citizens. Bill promises to fight for every mortgage client to ensure that each applicant receives the lowest possible interest rate coupled with the lowest mortgage costs.
